1. Rates
All rates quoted are in Singapore Dollars. Rates are for a minimum rental of 24 hours daily. Rates are inclusive of full maintenance, motor insurance and unlimited kilometres. Rates are subject to changes without prior notice.
2. Vehicle Availability
Reservations will be confirmed by vehicle group only and not by a particular vehicle make & model.
3. Insurance
Rates include motor insurance coverage of S$500,000.00 for third party property damage and unlimited for third party death or bodily injury. The Hirer is obliged to promptly report any accident, theft or vandalism involving the vehicle to SMART Rental office and/or the nearest police station within 24 hours. A valid police report will be required to allow SMART to conduct an investigation arising from such accident. Failure to comply with the above may void all liability protections for the Hirer. Coverage for the loss of the vehicle by fire and theft are included together with coverage for damages to the vehicle depending on terms and conditions of the SMART Rental Agreement.
4. Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
The applicable CDW rates are as follows:-
Group A = S$12 per day
Group B = S$12 per day
Group C = S$15 per day
Group D = S$15 per day
Group E = S$20 per day
Group F = S$ 25 per day
Group G = S$ 30 per day
Missing items or accessories are not protected by our insurance or CDW, and will be the responsibility of the Hirer, i.e. radio set, CD player/changer, hub caps (if any) or any other accessories that are fitted on the vehicle.
5. Driver's License & Age Limit
The Hirer and any additional driver must be at least 23 years of age, possess a valid driving licence and have a minimum of two (2) year's driving experience.
6. Parking and Traffic Fines and Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) Fees
All parking fees, parking or traffic fines and ERP toll charges are the responsibility of the Hirer.
7. Baby Seat
The charge is S$7.00 per day per baby seat or a maximum of S$35.00 per week.
8. GPS Navigation Device
The charge is S$12-00 day per set or S$60-00 per week.
9. Delivery & Collection
A minimum of S$25.00 per delivery or collection will be levied during our office hours, and S$35.00 per delivery or collection after our office hours. Free delivery service is accorded for rental that is one week and/or longer.
10. Excess Hours
Each hour or part thereof in excess of a 24 hour day is charged at one fifth (1/5) of the daily applicable rate.
11. Fuel
All our vehicles are to be fueled by unleaded petrol only. If the tank is not refueled back to the same level upon the vehicle’s returned, the cost of refueling, including a service charge, will be levied. The same procedures apply to our environmentally-friendly vehicles like Compressed Natural Gas Vehicles (CNG).
12. Extension of Rental
In the event that the Hirer wishes to extend the rental beyond the agreed date of return, it is important that the renting station be advised immediately and the required additional rental deposit paid so that the vehicle is covered by insurance. Failure to do so may mean that the Hirer is driving the vehicle without any insurance coverage.
13. Terms of Payment
Smart accepts all major credit/charge cards i.e. VISA, MASTERCARD, AMEX and DINERS. Signature of the Hirer on the rental agreement shall be sufficient proof in directing rental and other-related charges. Any credit extended to a corporate organization must be supported by a letter of authorization and/or a purchase requisition respectively. A refundable deposit of S$1,000.00 paid by credit card is required upon taking delivery of the vehicle.
